Who and What

Hi All,
Welcome to this blog.
I'm autodidacted bicycle enthutist and mechanic, waiting for the right moment to be fully dedicated to the dream of LBS (local bicycle store).

I can do almost everything with your old bike to make it shine and roll.

I can get you everything for your new bike project build.

The only thing I can not do, is to make you ride.

Anyway, fell free to comment, contact and ask questions.

With smile,
Garazhik

Raleigh Winner

This was an exciting project for me! It’s all started in a quick chat via IM with a friend of mine Lev, that was not satisfied with his old bike. He said, I want vintage. But not just vintage. I want a big frame that will suite me and you know I’m 190+ cm.
For some reason, I had too much confidence in myself that day so I told, that is a piece of cake. I can found such a frame in 15 minutes. And I did. Went to second hand e-board, and found some options. One of the was in North Israel, Kibutz called Ofakim. I called the selling person and agreed to coordinate on Friday.
So on next Saturday we (me, Lev, and Max) were heading North. 4 hours all over and Raleigh Winner 60cm frame size old as hell was our starting point.
Then it took us 3 months to get the parts. One day to paint. Two days to complete. Several rounds for adjustments.
These bikes look phenomenal when they are reduced to bare bones. This is why they are extremely popular as fixed gear bikes.

This has been an awesome project to work on. I have enjoyed every step (despite the delay..lol) and the end result is just phenomenal!

Bianchi Mega Pro SL

Actually this bike was my first experience with full road set up (except the gear part). Therefore I was pretty excited to have this opportunity added to my experience list. So, Zhenya came to me with super light Bianchi frame no fork. Carbon fork, new line Weinmann wheels, re-issued Selle turbo saddle and much more. The biggest problem was bottom bracket. For some reason i was assuming that Italian frame will need Italian BB which not standart and shall be specifically pre-ordered. But it wasn't the case. After 3 hours of running between major velo distributors inluding few phone calls to main Bianchi importer in Israel, we have finally realized that BB shall be simple ISO.Simple as that.
At the end he also order an original handlebar tape from Bianchi to match the color.

Max's Colnago

One day, someone sent me a message via facebook. Something like “You are the guy with bicycles, right?”. Yes, and the next thing I know the guy is in my living room with huge Colnago frame. Red, very light, road frame. I said, dude I have never seen such a beauty. And he said, does that mean that you will make me a bicycle? No problem, but it will be single speed only.

So here it is before:

Moth (Bucephalus)

Well, here is the story.
Right after i have finished Raleigh Grand prix, it was clear that if no road bike can do what track frame was made to do. Thus i was looking for track frame new and special.
Then in June i had a short vacation in between jobs and found myself in NY the fixed gear capital. First thing i did was to map all well know bicycle stores in Manhattan and pay a visit. Apparently the nicest place was the first one and the owner Jeff Woods inspired me with his own creation "Moth". I'm known as non-rational buyer and need my time to think so i postpone the purchase till i would be back from Boston. Boston on the other hand had a lot to offer and i was almost seduced by swobo frame. But lucky me, back to NY and bought this beautiful Moth.
Then I’m flying over the ocean, got stopped by border police, but released as they couldn't find the frame in internet and so on.
It took me almost 2 month to find a simple headset for this frame cause everyone in Tel-Aviv was afraid to touch the frame.
But eventually the story came to the logical end and i have very unique and gorgeous bicycle. Not to mentioned the fame)
