Mid 80's Andre Bertin with Shimano 600 gruppo

Recently I have no time to post my new bikes as I make them faster than I can photo them. Therefore I ask my friends to document the progress and send me their pictures.
Same happened for this bike. The man is riding it several months already and just now I‘ve got the time to post the pictures of the result. This is a true beauty of the cycling world mid 80’s Andre Bertin frame originally fully equipped with Shimano 600 gruppo. We have repainted the frame to very nice deep blue coating and completed it with classic brown leather saddle, handlebar tape and straps.

MBK Mistral, Blue and white frame

Quick, Smooth and Easy. Just look what you can do with your old frame for few bucks, before you run and buy a new Chinese crap. This is what I call one day turn around. It took me few hours to disassemble it, clean it and get ready. Then few hour to build the wheels. And three hours, with help of Eitan and Ilya, to create a new runner. Take a look on the colors and how clean the frame is. Eitan decided to leave the colors as are and I cannot blame him. Actually it’s my second MBK, the first one got stolen, very sad story. Hopefully this one will have a better future.

And the final touch, this dude (Eitan) did his first fixie skid, right in the garage after 10 minutes of his first ride! Total cool and way to go.
However he had the best masters around)))

Raleigh Colette 1973

I forget to update the blog. Doing more bicycles than writing, but who cares.
Anyway, once again I had a special request from a special friend. She wanted me to repair her old bike, and had brought it to me for week for evaluation.
Once the bike was disassembled, it was clear that nothing good won’t come out of it. I’ve tried to improvise something but the bike was completely useless. I told her, no way we can continue to use this frame, let’s find something else.
It actually took me two weeks of searching and I have finally got the piece I was looking for. Raleigh Colette 1973, in very bad shape, but no physical damages. This is how it looks before:

Over two months and VERY hard work, including drilling out the crank and unscrewing rusty quill for two weeks. I have tried to save the original color, but rust left me no chance. So we have decided to make it dark blue. And here is the result:

Guys keep telling me that i should document the whole process of recovery and post it out step by step. What do you think?
